These Doritos Burgers are one of my favorite gourmet burger recipes for summer grilling. Featuring pepper jack and cheddar cheese cubes, the flavor combination of these burgers is so delicious, the burgers will be the hit of the summer barbecue. This simple, unique hamburger recipe makes the juiciest burgers that are so flavorful!
Ingredients to Make Doritos Burgers
Doritos — Regular Doritos work best in this recipe, and you can save the leftover crumbs, which can be a money saver! The Doritos make this burger taste like a Taco in a Bag or Walking Taco. If you’d like, you can also use the organic Doritos option as well!
Cheese — The combination of pepepr jack and cheddar cheese give these burgers a delicious taste. The cubes of cheddar and pepper jack melt and add to the juiciness of the burger.
Egg — One egg is enough to help bing the burgers together. Plus, it adds a bit more protein!
Ground beef — Using regular ground beef pairs well with the Doritos to create an elevated, unique burger for your summer grilling or backyard barbecue!
How to Make Burgers with Doritos
Making these Doritos Burgers are extremely easy! After crushing the Doritos into small crumbs, you will mix the ground beef, egg, and Doritos together. Then, add the cubed cheese and mix well before forming the burgers into four equally sized patties. You can grill, air fry, or cook these Doritos burgers on the stove — it’s a very flexible recipe for cooking!
My husband likes to make these unique burgers on the Traeger. The smoker adds another level of flavor to these already delicious burgers!
