This is the BEST yogurt fruit dip, and it’s a perfect recipe for a potluck or a snack. This is a super easy homemade fruit dip recipe, only needing three ingredients (and one extra optional ingredient for an additional protein boost). This healthy fruit dip is delicious and pairs well with fruits like strawberry, cantaloupe, and more.
Ingredients for homemade fruit dip
- Skyr — Icelandic skyr is a delicious dairy product that is higher in protein than other yogurt products. Some argue (myself included) that skyr has a milder flavor than Greek yogurt. I love it because it’s lower in calories and higher in protein as well. Siggi’s is my favorite skyr brand, and it’s easy to find in my rural community.
- Honey — the honey adds a bit of natural sweetness to this, which I love. Feel free to omit the honey if you want to reduce the sugar.
- Vanilla pudding mix — the pudding helps improve the texture and adds a yummy flavor boost to this fruit dip. After adding the pudding mix, the dip is less creamy and more solid than without it. I love Simply Delish pudding for its low sugar and natural ingredients.
- Collagen — I love adding collagen for an extra protein boost. Collagen is typically flavorless and will mix well into the fruit dip. You can leave this out, if preferred.
How to make the best yogurt fruit dip
Making this healthy fruit dip is so easy. First, combine the ingredients and mix well. Then, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the pudding mix to fully dissolve and incorporate. Otherwise, the dip might have a grainy texture. After letting it set in the fridge, remove it and serve with your favorite fruits, cookies, or graham crackers. Cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries, and apples are some of my favorite fruits to eat with this dip.
