Delicious and easy, this chocolate protein mug cake recipe can be prepared in minutes. Moist and decadent, this microwave mug cake will satisfy a chocolate craving after a long work day or as a post-workout snack.

- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (approx. 25 grams)
- 28 grams oat flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- Dash of salt
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. egg white
- 2 Tbsp. greek yogurt
- Chocolate chips (optional — save for after cooking)
Instructions
- Select an average-sized coffee mug and add the dry ingredients.
- Mix the dry ingredients well, making sure they are evenly mixed.
- Add the wet ingredients, and mix well with the dry ingredients.
- Microwave for 60-90 seconds (depending on your microwave’s power).
- Add chocolate chips to the top of the cake right when it comes out of the microwave.
Notes
- Check the mug cake after 60 seconds, but it may take up to 90 for the mug cake to cook. This will depend on your microwave’s strength. The final mug cake will have a spongy cake consistency all the way through and easily pull away from the sides of the cup.
