What ingredients do I need to make greek yogurt spaghetti casserole?
- Spaghetti noodles – I love the Eat Banza pasta brand. It is gluten-free and higher in protein than standard pasta. You can use your favorite pasta, but I would highly recommend this Eat Banza brand! I break the spaghetti noodles into thirds, which can make the final dish easier to cut and portion out.
- Ground beef – Ground beef is my favorite, but you could also substitute any ground meat: venison, chicken, pork, etc.
- Greek yogurt – This superfood contains an extra dose of protein and makes the casserole extra creamy
- Cheese – I love using part shredded mozzarella and part shredded pizza blend cheese, but you could use cheddar or your favorite cheese blend.
- Spaghetti sauce – With such a wide-variety of sauces out there, you can choose your favorite sauce brand. I typically go with what is on sale, but sometimes, I will purchase based on which brand has the most clean ingredients.
- Spice blend – This recipe calls for Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
- Salt – I’ve had mixed results with the salt in this receipe, and I’ve found it depends on the salt in the spaghetti sauce. If you have a no-sodium or low-sodium brand sauce, you might need to add a dash of salt to season the dish. However, if the sauce is already salty, adding additional salt can harm the taste. The bottom line — add your salt carefully depending on your spaghetti sauce brand!
