Oatmeal Raisin Protein Balls

Enhanced with protein and healthy ingredients, these raisin oatmeal protein balls are an EASY and DELICIOUS meal prep food. Great for an easy snack or a post workout protein boost, these no-bake raisin oatmeal bites are packed with flavor!

Growing up, my absolute favorite dessert recipe was a raisin oatmeal cookie recipe from a church cookbook. When I started trying to make easy protein recipes, one of my first goals was to make a spiced raisin oatmeal protein ball reminiscent of the cookie recipe from my childhood.

While it took a few tries (the first attempt resulted in a tasty, but dry and crumbly granola), what eventually emerged was a delicious and delectable protein ball, packed with flavors and my favorite ingredient: raisins.

Ingredients to make raisin oatmeal protein balls

These raisin oatmeal cookie dough balls are made with a few simple ingredients: rolled oats, cashew butter, maple syrup, collagen powder (for an added protein boost), raisins, and spices. The spices include cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg for a cozy and enticing flavor profile.

How can I make protein-packed raisin oatmeal bites?

This oatmeal raisin cookie ball recipe is no bake, which makes it easy and quick to whip up after work or during a weekend meal prep session. First, start by combining the cashew butter, collagen peptides, and maple syrup. Mix well until a sticky paste forms. Then, add the spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves), and mix well again to distribute the spices evenly throughout the dough. Finally, add the oatmeal and raisins, and use your hands to make sure the raisins are spread throughout the dough.

Break the dough into eight equal parts. I like to start by breaking the dough into two parts, and then breaking each half into another half, and then another half (which will equal the eight parts). You can also use a cookie scoop to form the original balls. Then, place an oatmeal cookie ball between your palms and roll it around until the ball is uniform. Repeat until you have eight balls
